


World Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shivamogga Zoo in collaboration with the Ulivu Foundation. The event witnessed the participation of students from Shayadri Degree College who joined in the efforts to raise awareness about environmental protection. The day began with a cleanliness drive around the boundary of the zoo, which was carried out by the students, to ensure that the premises remained clean and free of litter.
Following the cleanliness drive, a session on the environment and its components was conducted by Vinayaka GS, who is an expert in wildlife conservation. His enlightening talk on various pressing environmental issues was extremely informative and was well-received by the students.
The highlight of the event was an insightful talk on leopard rescue and rehabilitation by Dr. Pasha is a wildlife conservationist and works for the UAE. His talk focused on the importance of wildlife conservation, which was extremely thought-provoking for the students who were in attendance.
The collaborative efforts between Shivamogga Zoo and the Ulivu Foundation resulted in an educational and interactive experience for the students.
