black kite is a medium-sized predatory bird belonging to the Accipitridae family. 

These kites are opportunistic hunters who spend a lot of time soaring and gliding in thermals in pursuit of prey, unlike the other members of the group. 

Black kites are diurnal birds that seek for escape prey near smoke and flames. According to aboriginal Australian beliefs, kites start fires by scooping up burning branches and dropping them to frighten off animals.

 THEY MUNCH ON

prey on rodents, birds, fish, small animals, and bats.

APPERANCE 

The plumage of men and females is identical, however females are longer than males.

FOUND

They can be found on the continents of Asia, Europe, Africa, and the oceans.

COMMUNICATION 

The call is a descending whistle 'psee-err' followed by a staccato 'si-si-si-si-si'.

BREEDING BEHAVIOURS

Black Kites nest in isolated pairs or in small, scattered colonies. 

Breeding season is around June to December Clutch size are Three to four, Incubation will be done for 33 days, Time in nest spent around 42 days.
